The Forestry Technician 3 (FT3) is the "backbone" of the fuels crew. The FT3 is an experienced crew member responsible for the safe and efficient operation of power equipment and hand tools to remove vegetation. The FT3 must be able to follow directions and work diligently in the implementation of fuel reduction proejcts. This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits. The work schedule is 10-hour days, 4 days per week. The FT3 position is generally a promotional position for the Forestry Technician 2 position.
