Are you interested in learning life saving skills and helping the community?

The District was once 100% staffed by volunteers. Today, there are only a handful of District volunteers left, but they are still considered a vital part of the department. 

The following is a list of minimum qualifications and commitments to be a Volunteer Firefighter:

1. Pass background investigation
2. Pass annual physical fitness test and regular physical exams
3. Complete a volunteer training academy
4.  Commit to four 12-hour daytime shifts per month
