Education: Evan holds a BA in both Geography and Environmental Studies from UCLA with a minor in GIS and Remote Sensing and a MA from San Jose State University in Geography with an advanced certificate in GIS and Remote Sensing. Evan also has an AS in Fire Technology from SRJC, SRJC Firefighter 1 - 67th Academy, EMT 1B and has completed Inspector 1A, 1B, 1C, and 1D.
Career History: Evan began his career with the District as a Volunteer Firefighter in 2008 and was hired as a Fire Prevention Officer in 2022. Evan also began working for Cal Fire during the summer of 2009 and was a seasonal firefighter for 4 seasons. Evan was employed by the San Jose State Fire Weather Research Lab from 2019-2021 and was a NASA DEVELOP intern in 2020 working on a remote sensing wildfire risk analysis project.
Special Projects: Evan serves as the Vice President for the Geyserville Volunteer Firefighters' Association Board and is a member of the Sonoma County Fire Prevention Officers group.
